New Venue Announcement
Sessions will run on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday evenings and details will soon be published on Meetup. Note: The booking process will be a little different ... please read the detailed description of the events in Meetup and *** FOLLOW THE LINK INSIDE THE EVENT DESCRIPTION ***
As highlighted in the most recent Newsletter, February will be a constant flow of communication and execution of strategic priorities. I will be announcing the opening of another venue shortly. From March onwards I will be much quieter ... maybe!
The Inala & Nudgee venue openings are designed to reduce waitlists for events, especially at Albion. By relocating some Advanced/Intermediate players from Albion to these new venues, on these nights, we aim to achieve a more balanced playing schedule at Albion and access to Mon-Fri evening Pickleball for ALL.
Here is our focus, AND WE WOULD VALUE MEMBER ASSISTANCE AND THOUGHTFULNESS in helping to achieve it:
- Provide Pickleball for existing members closer to home. By doing this it will be more convenient for those members and spread our existing players to achieve greater balance;
- Re-shape Albion evening sessions Mon-Fri to be more representative of all player types;
- Create an effective Pickleball community in Brisbane's North-East where we have untapped demand [Advanced/Intermediate/Social & new players];
- Create an effective Pickleball community in Brisbane's South-West where we have huge opportunity [Advanced/Intermediate/Social & new players];
Revised Albion sessions will be posted shortly. If you are a social player and want to play indoors during the week in the evenings, keep watching the Meetup updates and take the opportunities!
As we expand our venues around Brisbane, and provide more opportunities, there will be 'hits & misses'. We will address these on a case by case basis. We are aiming at 'balanced venues'. We believe that Advanced-Intermediate-Social, playing regularly together at the same venue, is the most unifying format for the club. BPC is unique in that our Club is spread across multiple venues (soon to be 9 ... and growing).
The recent additional sessions at Albion, Inala [4 Courts] & Nudgee [4 Courts initially] represent 114 additional playing slots per week. A further 200+ will soon become available. We want to prioritise opportunities for current members, before commencing an advertising 'Come-&-Try' blitz from March onwards.
