Dependent on the number of entrants in a division various formats will be utilised to maximise the playing time for all competitors.  You will be fully appraised of this when draws are released.

The options we are considering are

  1. games to 15 or two points ahead to win
  2. best of three games to 11
  3. a combination of options 1. And 2. dependent upon the number of teams in a division.
  4. Single and double elimination options are also being considered.

It is guaranteed that players will have 4 matches per event.

All players will umpire their own games during the round robin and initial elimination sections of the tournament.

We will be looking for volunteers to help with umpiring the finals.  This includes a scorer/ kitchen observer and lines people.

We would like to remind everyone of the basic premise behind pickleball of sporting behaviour and if in doubt the ball is in!  See the Appendix below for a simple outline of the rules of the tournament.

The registration desk will be located at the entrance of the Hibiscus Sports Complex.
